OUR STORY

Coral Bay Bowls Club was established in 2005 at the Corallia Beach Hotel where an all weather outdoor bowling green had been installed at its premises on the coast. The club had an initial membership of 20, most of whom lived to the west of Paphos and found the location convenient. The club was a founder member of Bowls Cyprus, the umbrella organization for bowling in Cyprus, and actively took part in inter-club competitions from its inception. Over the years Coral Bay Bowling Club has gradually improved its competitive success in bowling in Cyprus.

Membership increased gradually up to 2009, when it reached about 70, and the club continued with its original aim of being a "member’s club", with no formal general committee and all substantial decisions being taken at monthly meetings.

The club moved to new premises, Neo's Sports Club, in May 2010. Since that time, the club has been very active in encouraging people in becoming new bowlers. Through a combination of our attractive venue and facilities, and a welcoming and accessible training and coaching program, our membership has continued to florish.  We anticipate this number continuing to grow, and the club's intention is to encourage locals old and young alike to take up the game.
